Previous studies investigating conditional knock-outs of Dgcr8, Drosha and Dicer in the male germ line have noted many of the same gross morphological defects we observed, including infertility (or subfertility), decreased sperm count, and disrupted sperm morphology (Greenlee et al., 2012; Hayashi et al., 2008; Korhonen et al., 2011; Maatouk et al., 2008; Romero et al., 2011; Wu et al., 2012; Zimmermann et al., 2014). This evidence concerns the gene DROSHA and Infertility.
