In order to overcome this issue, we hypothesized that the conjugation of DAB dendrimer to lactoferrin and lactoferricin, promising tumor-targeting ligands of the transferrin family that have intrinsic anti-tumoral activity and whose receptors are abundantly expressed on cancer cells, would improve the delivery of therapeutic DNA to cancer cells, resulting in better therapeutic efficacy in vitro and in vivo. The gene discussed is TF; the disease is neoplasm.
