To determine the effect of glycolytic enzyme silencing on GBM growth in vivo, in the brain of NOD/SCID mice we implanted a pool of 55 shRNA-expressing glioma stem-like cells (NCH421k), targeting a number of different pathways, of which eleven were glycolytic genes found to be differentially expressed under hypoxia (S3 Table).
