BCAT1 and colorectal carcinoma: In this case-control study we demonstrate that methylated BCAT1 and IKZF1 DNA is detected more frequently in CRC cases (65% and 68%, respectively) than in colonoscopy-confirmed healthy controls (4% and 5%, respectively) and that the two methylation DNA markers are complementary (combined positivity of 77% and 7.6% in CRC and healthy controls, respectively).
