The syndrome is characterized by unexplained increased capillary permeability resulting in generalized edema and hypovolemia with the SCLS trio of hypotension, hemoconcentration and hypoalbuminemia due to the marked shift of intravascular fluid (up to 70%) and macromolecules like albumin from the intravascular to the extravascular space [3]. Here, ALB is linked to Hypoalbuminemia.
