In the present study, we examined the association of maternal serum HCB, DDE, and PCBs levels in pregnancy with offspring obesity and a range of cardiovascular risk factors [BMI, fat mass, waist circumference, blood pressure, lipids, adiponectin, leptin, and C-reactive protein (CRP)] at 4 years of age in the Rhea mother–child cohort in Crete, Greece. Here, CRP is linked to obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
