Nevertheless, high triglyceride levels [13], high soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase 1 (sFLT1) and low placental growth factor (PGF) levels [14, 15], high hynurenic acid levels [16], low adiponectin levels [17], vascular biomarkers such as asymmetric dimethylarginine (ADMA), nitric oxide and vascular endothelial growth factor [18], and high HbA1c levels [19] were suggested as potential biomarkers for predicting the risk of developing preeclampsia.
