Taken together, our data supported that constitutive activation of the ERK/MSK/Sp1 axis (as shown by phosphorylation of the pathway components) was required for over-expression of survivin in CD34+ AML patients, and finally permitting the evolution to the “Seed cell” in acute myeloid leukemia (Figure 9).
