Multivariate analysis using the Cox proportional hazards model for all variables that were significant in the univariate analysis showed that TNM stage (P = 0.026), the status of vascular invasion (P = 0.042), and HSPA2 mRNA expression level (P = 0.011) were independent prognostic factors for overall survival in patients with pancreatic cancer (Table 2). This evidence concerns the gene HSPA2 and pancreatic neoplasm.
