NFKBIA and malignant colon neoplasm: Honey showed greater modulation of the genes compared to ginger, while the highest dose of combined treatment (3 mg/ml ginger + 50 mg/ml honey) protected the IκBα protein from destruction, thus preventing the translocation of p65 protein into the nucleus to activate transcription factors involved in cell proliferation and cell survival in HT29 colon cancer cells.
