In conclusion, combined treatment with both ginger and Gelam honey is more effective than the individual treatments at inhibiting growth of HT29 colon cancer cells by inducing early apoptosis, modulating the expression of genes involved in the KRAS/ERK/ PI3K/AKT pathways and suppressing inflammation via the NFκB pathway. Here, NFKB1 is linked to malignant colon neoplasm.
