Given that the tumor samples harboring the three fusions were all HER2-positive, we first developed a multicolor fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) assay to assess the genetic amplification status of the ZNF207-HER2 and NOS2-HER2 fusion genes, as well as to dissect their relationship to the wild-type HER2 gene in the GC196 and GC334 samples, respectively. The gene discussed is ZNF207; the disease is neoplasm.
