CDK4 and gastric cancer: But our findings provide evidence that phosphorylation of MORC2 increases these proteins expression of cyclinD1-CDK4 and cyclinD3-CDK6 complexes, which promotes gastric cell cycle transition from G1 to S. Furthermore, phosphorylation of MORC2 leads to an increase in proliferation in gastric cancer cells both in vitro and in vivo, indicating that excessive activation of MORC2 may be critical for tumorigenicity of gastric cancer cells.
