KRAS and metastatic neoplasm: In conclusion, it appears that although there has been an increase in awareness of the need for KRAS testing among patients with mCRC (i.e., an increase in the proportion of eligible patients tested; and among those tested, an increase in the proportion of those tested at first diagnosis of metastatic disease), the overall proportion of patients KRAS-tested (approximately 50%) could be increased further to improve therapy planning for patients and ultimately improve patient outcomes.
