Giurliano et al. reported two cases of myeloid neoplasms (AML and atypical CML) with cytogenetic changes involving 11q23 but with intact MLL gene by FISH: one with t(3;11)(q21;q23) and another with t(6;11)(q15;q23) [29]. The gene discussed is KMT2A; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
