CD4 and tuberculosis: On multivariate logistic regression analysis, male gender [OR 3.4, 95%CI (1.4-7.9), p = 0.005], CD4 cell count <100 cells/μL [OR 3.1, 95%CI (1.1-8.6), p = 0.030] and a positive urine TB LAM test [OR 15.3, 95% CI (5.7-41.1), p < 0.001] were independently associated with mycobacteremia in HIV-infected sputum smear-negative clinically suspected TB patients.
