miR-19a is a member of the miR-17-92 cluster and has been shown to be overexpressed in T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia and multiple myeloma where it was revealed that miR-19a negatively regulates the expression of CYLD and SOCS-1 respectively to promote cell survival and pathogenesis [48,49]. The gene discussed is CYLD; the disease is AL amyloidosis.
