In non-prion neuropathology, we found high T-tau levels in one case of vascular dementia associated with severe ischemic white matter lesions (case 38), in three AD patients with rapid progression (cases 46–48), and in two cases of neuropathologically confirmed frontotemporal lobar degeneration with TDP-43 inclusions (FTLD-TDP; cases 54 and 59). Here, TARDBP is linked to frontotemporal dementia.
