Immunohistochemical analysis of 353 paired CRC specimens revealed that STYK1 protein was mainly localized in the cytoplasm and 87.8% (310/353) of the cancerous tissues tested were STYK1 positive staining, whereas only 48.4% (171/353) of the adjacent normal mucosa tissues showed weak-moderate STYK1 immunoreactivity. This evidence concerns the gene STYK1 and colorectal carcinoma.
