Our analysis of the relationship between TOPK expression and the major clinical diagnostic criteria used in advanced prostate cancer (PSA ≥ 20ng/ml, Gleason score ≥ 8, or Stage ≥ T2c) in 71 prostate cancer patients also indicated that elevated TOPK expression can be used as an independent prognostic factor in high-risk prostate cancer. The gene discussed is PBK; the disease is prostate carcinoma.
