VAMP1 and Alzheimer disease: Interestingly, as shown in (Figure 3), the odds ratios (OR) for the polymorphisms associated with increased cerebellar VAMP1 expression (rs7390; OR = 1.07 and rs2240867; OR = 0.98, mean OR = 1.025) were significantly higher (p = 0.03) i.e. more carrier greater risk for Alzheimer’s disease than the polymorphisms associated with decreased VAMP1 expression (rs12964; OR = 0.94, rs2072375; OR = 0.89, rs2072376; OR = 0.88, mean OR = 0.90).
