The pooled results showed that the incidence of cataract formation (RR: 1.07; 95% CI: 0.19, 5.97), vitreous hemorrhages (RR: 0.84; 95% CI: 0.44, 1.59), myocardial infarction (RR: 1.41; 95% CI: 0.22, 9.20), and hypertension (RR: 1.77; 95% CI: 0.19, 16.55) were comparable in both the IVR and non-anti-VEGF groups. Here, VEGFA is linked to myocardial infarction.
