During the last decade, both DNA demethylating agents (azacitidine and decitabine) and HDAC inhibitors (vorinostat and romidepsin) have been approved by FDA for use in myelodysplastic syndromes and cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, respectively [34-37]. The gene discussed is HDAC9; the disease is primary cutaneous T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
