The role of c-Met in prognosis has been reported to correlate with its overexpression in different solid tumors (such as gastric adenocarcinoma[51], ovarian[56] and non-small lung cancer[57]; the overexpression of YKL-40, particularly as a circulating marker[54], is similarly correlated with its role in prognosis. This evidence concerns the gene MET and gastric adenocarcinoma.
