The major findings of the current study can be summarized as follows: 1) Fullerol treatment ameliorated the clinical signs of GVHD and improved survival; less hepatic damage was associated with decreased hepatic levels of TNF-α and IFN-γ and chemokines, including CCL2, CCL3 and CCL5, reactive oxygen species, and leukocyte accumulation was reduced in the mice with experimental GVHD that were treated with fullerol. Here, CCL2 is linked to graft versus host disease.
