SIRT1 and myocardial infarction: In the present study, we demonstrated in AMI patients that 1) late in-stent lumen loss was significantly increased in the microalbuminuria group at six months after PCI, 2) the number of circulating-EPCs with a reduced ability to bind to fibronectin was increased in the microalbuminuria group compared to the normal group in the acute phase of MI, and 3) the level of sirtuin-1 mRNA expression of cultured-EPCs in the microalbuminuria group was lower than that of the normal group.
