Of note, RAMP-1 expression was about 3.5-times higher compared to RAMP-2 expression in the normotensive state in both mouse lines and, more importantly, increased to a 6.6-times higher RAMP-1 expression over that of RAMP-2 due to a significant hypertension-induced drop in RAMP-2 expression. This evidence concerns the gene RAMP2 and hypertensive disorder.
