We found suppression of miR-92b* reduced the leucine-dependent upregulation of MSTN, FOXO1, SLC2A2 and FOXA2. Further, miR-335 upregulation combines with increased expression of interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-α during inflammation of human visceral adipose tissue in obesity-related IR [48], and occurs in parallel with that of PPARγ after the induction of 3 T3-L1 adipocyte differentiation [41]. The gene discussed is MSTN; the disease is obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
