A number of melanoma-associated antigens are frequently recognized in the context of HLA-A2, including gp100 (glycoprotein 100), Mart1 (melanoma antigen recognized by T-cells 1), NY-ESO-1 (New York Esophagus antigen 1), tyrosinase, TRP-2 (tyrosinase-related protein 2) and some MAGE (melanoma-associated antigen) proteins [11, 12]. This evidence concerns the gene PMEL and melanoma.
