NTN4 and neoplasm: This is the first time that netrin-4 has been shown to attenuate corneal neovascularization in a corneal model of alkali burn; this is also consistent with the findings that netrin-4 significantly reduces pathological angiogenesis in Matrigel (6 μg/mL netrin-4) and laser-induced choroidal neovascularization models (1 μ g/mL netrin-4) [9] and netrin-4 overexpression delays tumor angiogenesis and growth.
