Diseases associated with CMC include hyper-IgE syndrome (HIES, also known as Job’s syndrome) caused by mutations in STAT3 or TYK2, or Autoimmune polyendocrinopathy syndrome (APS-1), caused by mutations in AIRE, or in genes impacting the IL-23/IL-17 signaling axis such as IL12B, STAT1, IL17RA, IL17F, and ACT1 (reviewed in [4]). Here, IL12B is linked to hyper-IgE syndrome.
