Although this observation is not in agreement with previous findings in other tumor types, in those Wee1 acts as a negative regulator of CDK1 in G2/M cell cycle [25,41,42], it is consistent with our previous study [33], where the high protein level of Wee1 is correlated to tumor malignancy and aggressive phenotype in VSCC. This evidence concerns the gene WEE1 and neoplasm.
