To investigate whether ADO and AMP present in P. papatasi saliva are constituents that may exacerbate leishmaniasis, C57BL/6 and BALB/c mice were intradermally infected in the ear with 1 × 106 promastigote forms of L. amazonensis in the presence or absence of equimolar amounts of ADO and AMP present in one pair of SGs. Here, ADO is linked to leishmaniasis.
