In clinic, Bean reported that Met gene amplification was detected in 22% of acquired EGFR-TKI resistant non-small cell lung cancers, and, compared with patients unexposed to EGFR kinase inhibitor, Gefitinib or Tarceva treatment was more likely to select Met gene amplification (21% versus 3%) [1].
