Among the 104 general cases of ovarian carcinoma, older age of the patients (OS; P < 0.001, RFS; P = 0.003), higher tumor stage (OS; P < 0.001, RFS; P < 0.001), presence of ascites (OS; P = 0.006, RFS; P = 0.017), increased pre-operative serum level of CA125 (OS; P = 0.013, RFS; P = 0.004), histologic grade (OS; P = 0.005, RFS; P < 0.001), DBC1 expression (Log-rank, OS; P < 0.001, RFS; P < 0.001), and BRCA1 expression (Log-rank, OS; P = 0.003, RFS; P = 0.003) were associated with shorter OS and RFS (Table 2) (Figure 2).
