Ndrg2 contains a CpG island in its promoter region and DNA hypermethylation has been reported in pancreatic cancer [16], glioblastoma [17, 18], adrenocortical carcinomas [19], breast cancer [20, 21], colorectal cancer [22, 23], oral squamous-cell carcinoma [24], meningioma [25], liver [26], and gastric cancer [27, 28]. Here, NDRG2 is linked to gastric cancer.
