NDRG2 and metastatic malignant neoplasm in the lymph nodes: More importantly, we found that both Ndrg2 hypermethylation and down-regulation of Ndrg2 were significantly correlated with several important clinical parameters such as lymph node metastasis, T-stage, clinical stage, etc (all P<0.05), suggesting that frequent dysfunction of Ndrg2 through its promoter methylation play crucial roles in malignant progression of human gastric cancer and may have an important impact on the metastasis and poor survival of gastric cancer patients [27, 30].
