Our results are as follows: (1) NAC can attenuate ConA-induced immune hepatitis in BALB/c mice; (2) NAC reduces TNF-α, IL-2, IL-6, and IFN-γ expression and inhibits NF-κB activation in ConA-induced hepatitis; (3) NAC inhibits autophagy in ConA-induced immune hepatitis by activating PI3K/AKT signaling pathway. Here, AKT1 is linked to hepatitis A virus infection.
