In this study, we found the upregulation of VEGF, HIF-1α, IL-6, MMP-2 and MMP-9 in tumor xenografts derived from OCT4B-expressing cells, suggesting that OCT4B increases endothelial cell migration, vascular sprouting in vitro, and vasculature formation in cervical cancer to promote tumor growth, relapse and metastasis. The gene discussed is HIF1A; the disease is cervical carcinoma.
