In melanoma cells, JNK-IN-8 caused dose-dependent inhibition of c-Jun S63/S73 phosphorylation, a modification required for transcriptional activity, but did not measurably alter the levels of pERK, pAKT(Ser473), pSTAT3(Tyr705), the p38/MK2 substrate pHSP27(Ser82) or the nuclear translocation of NF-κB (Supplementary Fig S2C–I). This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and melanoma.
