The hypothesis is that conditional pY-dependent interactions with different adaptor proteins, GRB2 or PIK3R3, respectively, may be altered in cancer, suggesting further investigation of TSPAN2 and its interactions in the transition of cells to abnormal growth (Lazo, 2007; Hemler, 2014; Otsubo et al, 2014).
