Interestingly, TumorscapeTM (Broad Institute, Cambridge, MA, USA) showed significant deletion around the BNIP3 locus at 10q26.3 in 7 out of 14 human tumor types, including breast cancer [96] while altered sub-cellular localization of BNIP3 in glioma, breast, and prostate cancer has also been reported [88,97-99]. The gene discussed is BNIP3; the disease is prostate carcinoma.
