Given that YB-1 and MTA1 are translationally regulated mRNAs [5], we hypothesized that differences could be observed at the protein level between normal, pre-invasive prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN), and prostate cancer tissues despite the lack of alterations at the DNA and mRNA levels. This evidence concerns the gene MTA1 and prostate intraepithelial neoplasia.
