In order to comprehensively determine the step of gene expression in which YB-1 and MTA1 are deregulated in prostate cancer patients, we analyzed publically available genomic and transcript databases, and conducted quantitative immunofluorescence analysis of YB-1 and MTA1 protein levels across a large annotated human prostate cancer tissue microarray with over 15 years of clinical follow-up (Table 1).
