post-myocardial infarction,20 heart failure,21 and hypertension-induced LVH.18 Inhibition of the RAS with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEi) would therefore seem an attractive option to improve LV remodelling and myocardial physiology in AS, resulting in better tolerance to the valve obstruction, potentially delaying the onset of symptoms and reducing need for aortic valve surgery.
