HIV-infected men having ≤500 CD4+ T-cells/mm3 had a higher prevalence of HPV16/18 infection than HIV-infected men with >500 cells/mm3 and HIV-uninfected men: 37% (23/63) vs. 24% (21/88) vs. 19% (36/189), respectively (Cochran-Armitage Test for Trend, p<0.01; Table 2). Here, CD4 is linked to infection.
