In accordance with the results found in previous studies of other human malignancies including epithelial ovarian tumors, bladder carcinoma, lung cancer, and colorectal cancer, overexpression of EIF5A2 in the current study was correlated with poor survival of patients with GC.[5, 8, 29] In addition, multivariate analysis showed that EIF5A2 protein is an independent predictor for poor survival in patients undergoing surgery for GC. Here, EIF5A2 is linked to urinary bladder carcinoma.
