Beside these well characterized immunopathological functions on epithelial tissues, the role of IL-22 in cancer cell biology has been recently reported in lung [20], gastric [21], colorectal [22, 23], pancreatic [24, 25], and hepatocellular carcinomas [26], whose cells expressed the IL-22R1/IL-10R2 receptor subunits. Here, IL22 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
