Compared to the DMSO control group and PCB118-treated BC (blank plasmid control) group respectively, the expression level of p-Akt and p-FoxO3a increased significantly and NIS expression decreased dramatically in 25nM PCB118-treated group when transfected with CA-Akt plasmid (p < 0.05), whereas the opposite results were obtained in PCB118-treated group transfected with DN-Akt plasmid (p < 0.05; Fig. 6D, E).
