In the present study, the IHC and Western Blot results both showed that the active proteins cleaved Caspase-3 and cleaved Caspase-9 were markedly upregulated in the transplanted tumor of the TNSE treated groups compared with the control group (P < 0.01, P < 0.05, Figures 9(b)–9(d), 10(b)–10(d), 11, and 12), which suggests that TNSE could induce tumor apoptosis and might contribute to the decrease of the tumor size. This evidence concerns the gene CASP9 and neoplasm.
