Consistent with the results in the individual cohort, high PKM2 expression favored a substantially shorter overall survival (P < 0.0001), disease-free survival (P < 0.0001) and recurrence-free survival (P < 0.0001) in the overall cohort of 638 patients with HCC (Supplementary Figure 2; log-rank test). The gene discussed is PKM; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
