The gene-associated miR-29a and miR-29b, found to be dysregulated in NPC [27, 28], were among the 9 identified miRNAs and predicted to target a set of up-regulated genes, including COL3A1, COL4A1, NID1 and NID2 (Fig. 1B) together with their downstream genes. The gene discussed is COL4A1; the disease is nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
