We speculate that non-microenvironment dependent signal peptide may exist in cancer cell-derived Foxp3, and that factors expressed by TSCC cells themselves may promote Foxp3 translocation into the nucleus, even that TSCC cells can secret factors into microenvironment to induce Foxp3 translocation in Tregs, which can be an exquisite ‘cross-talk’ between tumor cells and lymphocytes. The gene discussed is FOXP3; the disease is cancer.
